ES Global Achieves UK’s Biggest Stage Transition of 2025
This summer, ES Global delivered the largest and most complex stage transition in the UK this year. The challenge was to transform the stage configuration at Tottenham between Beyoncé and Chris Brown, within a 24h window.
The Challenge
The Beyoncé stage needed to be repositioned 4.5 metres back to accommodate the Chris Brown production.
The existing roof, towers and deck all had to be dismantled and reassembled in the new position.
The transition had to be executed in under 24 hours, with no margin for error.
This required an operation of unprecedented scale and coordination in a live touring environment.
The Solution
ES Global designed and executed a synchronised four-crane lift by Ainscough — a UK first — to move the fully built Beyoncé stage structure back 4.5 metres. Once relocated, our team:
Dismantled the roof system from the tower lifting heads
Stripped out the deck and towers
Rebuilt the entire structure in its new position
Integrated all elements back onto the stage deck ready for Chris Brown’s load-in
The Results
Never done before in the UK: the first use of a four-crane lift to reposition a stadium stage.
Timescale achievement: full transition completed in under 24h, from dismantle to rebuild.
Industry benchmark: the biggest stage transition carried out in the UK in 2025.
Delivered seamlessly, ensuring both headline shows went ahead as planned.
Key Takeaway
This project demonstrated ES Global’s ability to deliver innovative engineering solutions at speed and scale, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in live event production.
